ICFTN - East Coaches Week

Experience Coaching

INTERNATIONAL COACHING WEEK: April 29th - May 5th, 2019

April 29th through May 5th, 2019 has been designated as International Coaching Week and will be celebrated all around the globe. The goal of the week is to raise awareness of coaching. Most people you know could benefit from having a personal coach, but most people don’t understand coaching – how it works or how they might benefit.

To celebrate coaching week in Knoxville and the surrounding area, the ICF Tennessee East chapter and Knoxville Entrepreneur Center are hosting “Get Coached,” an evening of complimentary coaching on Tuesday evening, April 30th, from 4:30 to 9 PM at the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center in downtown Knoxville. Anyone in the East Tennessee area is welcome to register and receive a 45-minute complimentary coaching session. We will have coaches from a variety of disciplines available. There will be executive coaches, life coaches and leadership coaches.

meet our coaches!

Bob Thames, ACC

My coaching is most useful to mid-manager to executive clients who want to stop talking about making changes, and who want to commit fully to stepping into desired changes in their business and life.  I feel my value as a coach is primarily helping people discover authentically who they are and why they were put on this earth, then collaborating on actions to take their lives to new levels.

Paige Stafford

I am certified through the Coach Training Alliance and am currently seeking ACC Certification with ICF (complete in April 2019).  I have been coaching professionally since January.  My target audience are people who are wanting more happiness in their "real" lives.  I do this by tapping into the client's inner-child as a means of healing self, re-affirming these parts that had been set aside to "fit-in."  Once whole again, there can be a new sense of creativity, openness, expression and feeling.

Wendy Pitts Reeves

Wendy Pitts Reeves has coached heart-centered entrepreneurs and small business owners across the U.S. and in Ireland. Having built several businesses from the ground up, she's experienced her share of setbacks and success. Through it all, Reeves has developed an understanding of, and an appreciation for, the strategies and courage it takes to build a successful business.

Yvonne Hart

I was trained in co-active coaching and have added strength based coaching supporting the client to bring out natural strengths to follow personal inclinations. With the additional training of Conversational Intelligence, I use the coaching conversation to facilitate the neuro-science of building change through dropping old and choosing new habits, setting goals and designing a personal plan for success and well being for life.

Julie Cookson, ACC

I feel relationship-building is key to an effective coaching partnership, so I work to build trust and respect quickly so we can move into areas of concern for my clients.  I have been coaching since 2011, especially in the areas of career transition, personal and professional development.  I work with both men and women of all ages.

Corinne Nicolas, PhD, ACC

I am a full-time, certified coach who started her own coaching business about two years ago with a vision to level the playing field so that women's professional journeys are no longer hindered by their gender, and being a mom is no longer a career ender.

As a coach, I partner with smart women, many in higher education, who are working on professional milestones, to provide the guidance and support they need to achieve their goals. Many of my clients desire to create more work-life balance, to increase their productivity and accelerate their progress, with some working to transition into new careers or to climb executive ladders.

Jennifer Gamble

Coaching is a privilege and an opportunity to help leaders live their best life while making a positive impact in the world. For over 10 years, I've worked with high achieving leaders who are in transition, looking to accomplish a new goal, or looking to level-up as a leader to achieve their goals.

I work with entrepreneurs, professionals, business executives, non-profit leaders, and students to help them gain clarity and get to the root of roadblocks. My clients have a similar mindset; they are looking to make sustained change and are willing to look within themselves.

Brenda Baird, PCC

My approach is centered on the principles of energy leadership and its positive effects on an organization or individual's ability to achieve more with less effort. When individuals show up as their best self they are more productive and satisfied in their careers. I've spent the last 30 years identifying workforce challenges and developing innovative solutions to improve desired outcomes and achieve organizational goals.

My education, training, and experience working with individuals, leaders, and teams has developed proven methods to build self- awareness, clarify goals, and define incremental steps to reach sustainable growth and lasting results that positively change individual's professional and personal lives.
