ABOUT THE WEBINAR: Effective Advocacy for Coaches: Let's Chat!

The ICFTN Chapter is here to advocate on behalf of the coaching industry, but it is important for professional coaches to also get involved. There are a variety of ways to be a legislative advocate but this workshop will give you a simple to follow guide to assist you with your advocacy efforts.

Participants will learn:

  • What it means to be an advocate for the coaching industry

  • Why it’s important to your practice to be involved in legislative advocacy

  • The 2 most important ways a coach can influence legislation effecting coaches.

  • How to use the CHAT Method for creating your simple and effective advocacy plan

Participants will receive:

  • A Coaches Guide to Advocacy

  • Sample letters and email correspondence 

By attending this workshop, you will learn advocacy best practices to educate, share, and shine a better light on the professional coaching industry.


Brenda BairdBrenda Baird is a Professional Certified Coach and Energy Leadership Expert. She helps business professionals to overcome overwhelm, focus on priorities, and make sustainable change to improve their lives. With more than 30 plus years of experience in leadership, training and development and organizational development, Brenda brings a wealth of practical knowledge to her coaching work. Brenda received her professional coach certification from the Institute of Professional Coaching Excellence (iPEC), and is credentialed Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coaching Federation. Brenda lives in Tennessee with her husband Tom. When not working, she likes to quilt and work in her garden.
