About the Workshop

Everyone is influential – or at least has the potential to be. Entrepreneurs, businesspeople and future leaders are asking, “If I’m not influential, how can I make a difference?” The demand for effective performance by individuals and organizations is greater than ever before.

Coaches need to understand influence and how it applies to their performance, coaching practice, and their clients.

This workshop session provides coaches the opportunity to use the Mapping Your Influence™ tool to work with clients who are leaders, entrepreneurs and those interested in increasing their overall life satisfaction through creating a healthy lifestyle.

Coaches will be introduced to the Seven Influence Traits®: confidence, commitment, courage, passion, empowering, trustworthiness, and likeability, which are measured by the Keller Influence Indicator® (KII®). Today’s coaching clients are eager to unlock the door to becoming as influential as they can be. Come prepared to learn, create, and influence!

Participants will:

  • Study the direct relationship influence has in every aspect of life

  • Work hands-on with the Mapping Your Influence™ tool designed to create new meaning for goal achievement

  • Grasp the implications of using the Seven Influence Traits® to achieve goals and remove barriers

  • Build their ability to become more influential

  • Learn how to use a new model of building their clients’ influence

  • Be afforded the means by which they can accurately and honestly grow themselves and their clients personally and professionally

This half-day presentation will focus on a combination of educational and experiential learning encompassing several activities.

Part One: Educational Learning

This presentation will educate on the role of influence in the coaching industry. A review the Seven Influence Traits® will be presented, complete with definitions, descriptions and the importance of each trait to the development, growth and success of client goal attainment, i.e., leadership, communication, team, or building a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Keller will showcase a roadmap of how these Influence Traits® impact both the coach and the client.

Part Two: Experiential Learning

The group will break into pairs and/or triads for experiential learning exercises throughout the half day. Participants will engage in exercises designed to learn about the impact of the Seven Influence Traits® on coaches, their coaching practice and the client. Participants will commence in an exercise designed to facilitate identification, understanding and application of information from the Mapping Your Influence™ tool. At the end of the exercises, the groups will be asked to share their overall experience and give feedback about their experience, learnings and observations in a large group facilitation format.
