A Community of Practice

A Community of Practice: Exploring Ethical Dilemmas in Coaching Together | Friday, September 14, 2018 | 11:30am-1:00pm | Nashville

community of practice is a group of people who share a concern or a passion for something they do, and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly.

In this session, we will explore a topic that is of keen interest to the coaching profession - ethics in coaching and behaviors that accompany the dilemmas that may be presented.

Through our shared experiences, we will work together on several distinct ethical challenges that you may or may not have experienced to date in your coaching business. Questioning and learning about how one handles certain ethical situations together creates an opportunity for all voices to be heard and information to be discussed and shared. We look forward to a lively and robust meeting with many, varied outcomes.

Learning Objectives:

  • Employ ethical decision-making to ethical scenarios

  • Discover multiple techniques to handle an ethical issue in the coaching arena

  • Commit to questioning and applying the highest ethical standard to your practice

Attendee Benefits:

  • This is an opportunity to decide, listen and discern the many ways in which an individual can review and potentially solve a variety of ethical issues

  • The workshop will help one realize the complexity and complacency of handling an ethical issue with a client and/or an organization.

  • The nature of ethics lives on a continuum and a coach must realize where he or she is on the spectrum.
