A Message from the President

SEPTEMBER 2020

Dear fellow coaches,

Chapter Meeting

Our September chapter meeting is an important one. First, Cortney Cahill and Harold Hill will help us increase our racial competence as coaches to enable us to create authentic space for engaging this important topic with our clients. Register here.

Traditionally, we vote on the next year’s board nominees at our September meeting. Though our voting process will look a little different this year, we invite you to participate in this important event. I hope you’ll join us!

During the week of September 21st, coaches throughout our chapter will help Tennesseans experience the power of coaching through our Get Clear with Coaching program. We are excited to represent our profession to our community!

While our ability to meet together has been hampered over the last few months, we are providing more opportunities than ever to hone our craft through online continuing education opportunities. In addition to our regularly scheduled chapter meetings, we continue to offer micro-learning and social opportunities. You have access to webinars hosted by various chapters in our region of ICF. Finally, we now have monthly opportunities for connecting more socially with our colleagues.

To help you keep up with the many opportunities available to you, we have a new Calendar feature on our website. You’ll still receive notifications of events via email and social media, while adding the benefit of seeing what each week holds at-a-glance. Calendar

Nominations are open for our annual chapter awards. Please take a moment to review the qualifications for each award, think about coaches or organizations who meet those qualifications, and nominate them for recognition. Nomination Information

Remember, ICFTN exists to help you coach more, coach better, and make a difference doing it!

Have a great month,

All the best,

Joanna Williams

Award recipients will be recognized during the December chapter meeting. Click here to read more and link to nominating forms.

ICFTN NAVIGATOR PROGRAM

The navigator program is an opportunity for coaches to serve other coaches by sharing expertise and providing support. Navigator engagements consist of three 30-minute conversations. These interactions might focus on career, entrepreneurship or family, education, work-life balance, or any other topics the two parties agree on. Click here to participate.
