We’re excited to announce that ICFTN Affinity Group registration for 2026 is officially open! Affinity Groups are one of the most meaningful ways coaches connect across shared identities, lived experiences, and coaching interests creating spaces of belonging, learning, and authentic connection within our chapter.

Over the past year, Affinity Groups made a real impact. In participant feedback, 100% of respondents reported feeling a strong sense of belonging, and 83% shared that participating increased their connection to other ICFTN coaches. Members described these groups as energizing, affirming, and supportive places where they could be themselves, learn from peers, and grow as coaches.

Why Join an Affinity Group?

Affinity Groups are member-led communities centered on connection first. Coaches shared that these groups helped them:

  • Build meaningful relationships with fellow coaches

  • Gain new perspectives, confidence, and insights into their coaching practice

  • Expand professional networks in a supportive, low-pressure environment

  • Feel more connected to ICFTN and the broader coaching community

Sample Affinity Groups

Affinity Groups vary year to year based on member interest and host availability. Examples of groups offered recently and being considered for 2026 include:

  • Team Coaching

  • Newer Coaches

  • Women Coaches

  • Emotional Intelligence

  • Coaches interested in podcasting, speaking, etc.

  • Regional Connections (e.g., Middle Tennessee Coaches)

Members are welcome to register for more than one group, and new groups may form based on interest and leadership.

How It Works

  • Registration is open now through January 23

  • Members may register for multiple affinity groups

  • Groups will begin meeting in February and March 2026

  • Most groups meet bi-monthly or quarterly, offering flexibility with meaningful connection

  • Register here.

Interested in Hosting or Co-Hosting?

We’re also recruiting Affinity Group Hosts and Co-Hosts for 2026. Each group needs at least one host to help convene and support the community. Hosting is a powerful way to deepen relationships, contribute to chapter culture, and support belonging across ICFTN.

No prior group facilitation experience is required—training, resources, and ongoing support are provided. If you have a passion for connection and community, we’d love to hear from you.

Affinity Groups are a cornerstone of ICFTN’s commitment to connection, inclusion, and shared growth. Whether you’re new to ICFTN or a long-time member, there’s a place for you.

Let’s continue building community together.
