In conversation with Dan Haile

Every so often, you come across an individual that inspires and encourages you by their actions, perseverance, and achievements. Dan Haile is such a man.

Dan was remarkably candid about sharing how his career started and the challenges he had to circumvent along the way. Growing up in an abusive, dysfunctional family to overcoming alcohol addiction at age 30, when faced with an unfulfilling career, became the catalyst of seeking a rewarding path for himself and his family. Dan's life-changing decision was not an easy one. Leaving his corporate Vice President position in health care, with all the perks and security that came with the title, was hard to step away from. His decision to change his life realization after time spent at the Abbey Retreat Center. It was there, in 2006, that Dan's focus became clear; be centered on what you know, be vulnerable, transparent, then trust yourself and follow your intuition.

Dan shared his formula of attracting new clients and referrals for his successful business; "having countless coffee meetings and plain elbow grease to achieve the life you seek." He believes the greatest opportunities come when you are willing to do those things, even if it's uncomfortable.

Dan has been a member of ICFTN since December 2007 and reports, "my association with ICFTN members for the past 14 years has been an honor". He has transitioned from several board positions, including Treasurer, and filled the President's position on four different occasions.

Dan achieved the success he wanted while helping hundreds of people realize their path to success. His journey has given him accolades, recognition, triumphs, impediments, and, yes, plenty of challenges.

There are times in life when something touches you, and your heart simply opens up. Recently Dan received an unwelcome challenge: a diagnosis of stage/4 brain cancer. An unexpected blow to a gentleman who has overcome so many obstacles in life. This setback has not restricted his commitment to continue his business. Rather it has propelled him to seek out more clients and referrals to assist them on their journey. Dan's favorite Socrates quote reflects what he's always believed: "The unexpected life is not worth living.
