What made you decide to be a coach?

My path to coaching began in the military, where I experienced both powerful leadership and the impact of less effective approaches. These experiences sparked a deep interest in leadership and development, leading me to study organizational psychology and leadership at multiple institutions. It was a graduate course in coaching that truly shifted my perspective - showing me how one-to-one coaching could unlock a leader’s potential in a way traditional training couldn’t reach. The individualized approach resonated with my own values of purpose-driven growth and high-impact development.

Coaching allows me to support leaders as they build influence that echoes throughout their organizations, helping them to break through personal and professional barriers. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping leaders drive meaningful change and empowering them to make their legacy.

Is there anything you would like us to know about you?

Outside of work, I find energy and purpose in a range of hobbies that challenge me physically, mentally, and creatively. Weightlifting in my home garage gym—my personal "OASIS"—is my gem, where I push myself, build resilience, and stay grounded. Trail running is another passion, offering a mental challenge as I tackle tough terrain and reach new limits.

I’m an avid reader, particularly drawn to books on business, psychology, self-improvement, and leadership; my current read is We Who Wrestle with God by Jordan Peterson. I also enjoy homebrewing, a craft (pun intended) that’s taught me the art of precision, focus, and detail - all qualities that enhance my work. I even completed a certificate in Brewing Science and Operations at Saint Louis University, because why not take your hobby to the next level?

My wife, Jenny, is my best friend and the love of my life - we’re a true partnership and an unstoppable team. Together, we share adventures with our dog PJ (nicknamed Papa John - yes, the pizza place - by his foster family), who’s always by our side for almost five years. We love taking him hiking, swimming, out to eat - anywhere we go. If PJ isn’t welcome, then it’s not for us.
