CLISBY - Season Two Selections

The ICFTN Book Club or CLISBY (Coaches Literary Society of Books and Beverages) has made its selections for the 2022-2023 season.  And it’s not too late to join us as we’ve delayed the timing of our first meeting.

On January 3, 2023 we will gather on Zoom to discuss Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert, celebrated author of Eat, Pray, Love fame.  From Amazon we read this...

“In Big Magic, this beloved author digs deep into her own generative process to share her wisdom and unique perspective about creativity. With profound empathy and radiant generosity, she offers potent insights into the mysterious nature of inspiration. ...Balancing between soulful spirituality and cheerful pragmatism, Gilbert encourages us to uncover the “strange jewels” that are hidden within each of us. Whether we are looking to write a book, make art, find new ways to address challenges in our work, embark on a dream long deferred, or simply infuse our everyday lives with more mindfulness and passion, Big Magic cracks open a world of wonder and joy.”

Other book selections and the months we’ll be reading them include:

Diversity Beyond Lip Service: A Coaching Guide for Challenging Bias by La'Wana Harris and Kahlil Smith (Feb 7)

GRIT: The Power of Passion and Perserverance by Angela Duckworth (April 4)

Developing Coaching Skills by Dietmar Sternad (June 6)

The Earned Life: Lose Regret, Choose Fulfillment by Marshall Goldsmith (Aug 1)

How to Begin: Start Doing Something that Matters by Michael Bungay Stanier (Sept 26)

If you’d like to be a part of CLISBY, please reach out to Dayle Savage ([email protected]) to be put on our mailing list so you’ll receive the link to our evenings of literary awakening coupled with simply good fun and conversation.
