1 - Where are you from, and how did you choose to live in Middle Tennessee?

I'm originally from Cardiff, the capital city of Wales in the UK and spent most of my adult life in London. My husband and I had the opportunity to relocate to Nashville 7 1/2 years ago with his company, UBS. We were due to stay for 3 years but loved it so much in Nashville that we decided to stay and now we are happy to have our Green Cards!

2 - What is your professional background, and why did you become a coach?

As a Chartered Management Accountant, I worked in the Oil and Gas industry, Broking and Banking for 14 years before deciding to change things up and backpack around the world for a year. On my return I moved into Human Resources where I largely worked in Performance, Reward and Analytics at UBS AG for 12 years. I was lucky enough to work in London and New York City. I had a wonderful experience building a global, cross divisional team that enabled Senior Leaders make better people decisions around reward, performance and leadership development.

When our son, Alfie was around 4, I made a conscious decision to change careers as I wanted to spend more time with him. I really enjoyed building, managing, mentoring, coaching and motivating teams but coaching was the thing I enjoyed the most - so I followed my passion and became one!

3 - How did you choose your specialty area?

My 2 passions whist working in Corporate were developing new leaders and building high value creating teams - so it was a natural shift to concentrate on these 2 areas in my coaching practise. I really love what I do!

4 -What are the greatest challenges and greatest rewards of your career?

The greatest challenge was balancing a high paced, very demanding role with being there for my family. The reward was being part of incredible teams at all levels of my career.

5- What is something that most ICFTN members would be surprised to learn about you?

I grew up learning both English and Welsh and although I have been away from my motherland for many years, I can still 'siarad Cymraeg ychydig' (speak Welsh a little bit).  Don't ask me to have a full conversation with you though!

6- How do you enjoy spending your free time?

Seeing as much live music as I can in Music City and spending time with my husband watching our son play soccer (go Alfie!). We are also avid Nashville SC supporters (come on you boys in gold!) and watch our 'home' team Arsenal in the English Premier League whenever we can.

Travelling is still a massive passion and our 'Robinson Roadtrips' have become a legendary summer pastime! We love exploring the US and the world.
