New Member Corner: Liz Arnold

What is the name of your company?
I work for Gundersen Health System (a mid-sized health system with about 9,000 employees based in La Crosse, WI) as a Sr. Consultant in Talent Development. I have been with Gundersen since 2007.
Are you an independent coach or a coach within an organization?
I am employed full-time as an independent contractor with Gundersen.
What made you decide to be a coach?
I served as a Director for 12 years within the health system, leading departments including Global Partners, Patient Experience, Population Health, and Organizational Development. When we made the move to Tennessee, I was offered a fully-remote position to stay with the health system in a role to support the development of administrative leaders across the system. I am passionate about leaders leading to the best of their ability because the well-being and health of our patients and communities depends on it! Currently I am enrolled in a Leadership & Performance Coaching program through the ACT Program with Brown University, hoping to apply for my ACC by the end of 2023.
What is your area of interest?
In addition to coaching healthcare leaders, my interest includes non-profits and faith-based organizations, young professionals/leaders, and women in leadership. My background in public health, passion for service and missions, and years of volunteering with a church-based college ministry have shaped my heart for these populations. Where mission matters, leadership matters.
Is there anything you would like us to know about you?
Outside of work and coaching, I love spending time with my husband and 3 kids (ages 8, 10 and 12). I spend free time hiking, kayaking, experimenting with new recipes, volunteering, and snuggling our 2-year old puppy.
