What made you decide to be a coach?
It’s in my DNA! Developer is one of my top 5 Clifton Strengths. For me, it’s a ‘Pay It Forward’ mission. I’ve been helped in so many areas of my life by strong thought partners and coaches and I want to give back. There is a huge need for compassionate-based life coaching and I want to serve in that role.
What is your area of interest?
I love helping young adults navigate the beginning of their careers. There’s so much that universities and trade schools don’t prepare us for, and it can come as a shock to many people when they realize that navigating organizational culture and politics is critical to their success. Most recently, though, I became certified as a Life Coach with a specialty in helping people learn how to change their relationship with alcohol and other addictions. Covid-19 turned many of our lives upside down (me included), and many of us (me included) used alcohol as a coping mechanism. Thank God I turned it around before I did serious harm to my body – and I want to help others who want to get their lives back on track.
Is there anything you would like us to know about you?
Yes! I am passionate about helping people navigate the hidden parts of themselves so they can bravely live out their dreams. I believe that every person deserves easy access to professional coaching that helps clients achieve their personal and professional growth. I provide clients with a judgement-free and shame-free space where they can feel comfortable being both brave and vulnerable. Within this environment clients can realize their true personal power and make their desired change. Also, I’ve been married to Mark, a great guy, for 35 years, have two outstanding grown children and two (almost three) amazing grandsons!
