A Message from the President
Dear ICFTN Members,
As we approach the end of 2023, reflecting on our remarkable journey as the International Coaching Federation of Tennessee (ICFTN) brings me immense joy. This year has been nothing short of extraordinary, filled with growth, achievement, and, most importantly, the unwavering support of our incredible coach community.
One of the significant milestones this year was the implementation of new By-laws, Procedures, and Policies, setting the foundation for a more robust and efficient organization. These new governance tools, coupled with the dedication of our members, have propelled ICFTN to new heights.
ICFTN membership has reached a record high, a testament to the thriving community we have built together. We've bolstered our relationships with crucial partners and significantly improved our financial standing. This includes a notable uptick in our reserves and the formation of a Financial Oversight Committee. This committee is actively developing a robust financial investment strategy to fortify our long-term sustainability. The overarching goal is to secure a resilient future for ICFTN, ensuring our continued support for member coaches.
In the area of event offerings for professional growth, ICFTN has reached unprecedented heights. We've proudly distributed a record number of Continuing Coach Education (CCE) and Resource credits, emphasizing our dedication to delivering valuable learning opportunities for our members. This success extended to hosting more than five in-person and 21 virtual events, offering platforms for coaches to connect, network, and actively participate in ongoing learning experiences.
ICFTN has expanded its leadership team by creating two new board positions. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) has taken center stage in the Chapter and is marked by establishing the first DEIB Board position. This move has initiated various educational opportunities and engaging discussions, fostering a more inclusive coaching community. The second leadership role is dedicated to ICF Credentials. This strategic move aims to ensure a focus on credentialing excellence within our Chapter, further elevating our member coaches' reputation, standards, and business opportunities.
We are excited about our upcoming plans, including In-Person Regional Meetings. Volunteers have graciously agreed to host events in Chattanooga, Knoxville, Memphis, and Nashville, with the first Regional Meeting scheduled for February 9, 2024. Additionally, we are thrilled to announce the development of a new website. This initiative aims to enhance our online presence, streamline access to resources, and provide an improved digital space for our members to connect and stay informed about upcoming events and opportunities. The new website will be an asset as we strengthen our community and facilitate professional growth within ICFTN.
We are equally thrilled to announce a plan that adds another dimension to our commitment to fostering meaningful connections and learning experiences. In October 2024, we have exciting plans for an in-person conference that promises to be a highlight on the ICFTN calendar. This conference will provide a unique opportunity for our members to come together, share insights, and engage in enriching discussions. As we look ahead, the upcoming conference is a testament to our dedication to facilitating in-person interactions and creating impactful moments for our dynamic coaching community.
I invite you to attend the Inaugural ICFTN Annual Meeting on December 15 at noon ET / 11 am CT. This will be an opportunity to delve deeper into our achievements and future plans.
I want to encourage members to sign up for our new technology, the Text Notification system. By texting the word "ICFTN" to 55444, you can stay updated on all the latest events and register with your mobile device.
As I bid farewell to 2023, I warmly welcome Anna Walker, who is stepping into her role as President for the 2024/25 term. Anna's integral role in our success and strong leadership are poised to elevate ICFTN to even greater heights.
Anna and I invite you to join us on December 8, 2023, for the ICFTN Holiday Celebration, a complimentary workshop as our gift to all members. You can register here. We'll announce the well-deserved winners of the 2023 Chapter Volunteer Awards during the event.
We are looking forward to seeing you there!
In closing, I want to express my deepest gratitude to all the volunteers who have played a pivotal role in making the last two years a resounding success. Your commitment has been the driving force behind our achievements.
Wishing you all a joyful holiday season and a prosperous New Year.
Warm regards,
Brenda Baird, MCC
