President's Letter

NOVEMBER 2022

Brenda Baird

November kicks off the season of gratitude, and I am most thankful for you, our Chapter members, this year.

During my year as President, I could not have wished for better Chapter members than you; thank you! Without you, the Chapter would not be where it is today, and I’m so grateful for your support and volunteerism throughout the year.

ICFTN has experienced record membership growth; this didn't happen by accident. Dedicated volunteers like Gail Southwell, Membership Services, and Lisa Gamble, Connector Program, ensured members felt welcomed and supported. Gail’s commitment to ICFTN is demonstrated in her behind-the-scenes work communicating with existing members about Chapter benefits, membership status, and hosting new member orientation. Please join us for the next new member orientation on November 18th at 11:30. am CT/ 12:30 pm ET. It's a free event for anyone interested in meeting other coaches and learning more about the Chapter. I hope to see you there. You can register here.

Members tell us they feel welcomed and supported as Lisa Gamble’s volunteer work helps connect an existing member to a new member. Making sure they learn the ins and outs of ICFTN and network with other ICFTN members. If you are interested in becoming a Connector and helping new members send us an email at [email protected].

Coaches tell us they join the Chapter to gain discounted access to high-quality coach education, CCEs, and the opportunity to network with other like-minded coaches. Along with engaging Chapter Meeting programs, the ICFTN Book Club, led by Dayle Savage, is fun and educational. Check out the 2023 schedule and consider reading with us.

You may also consider the Executive Coach Special Interest Group (SIG), organized by Donna Yurdin, a must-attend event providing valuable networking and information sharing with fellow executive/leadership coach colleagues. To learn more, contact [email protected].

Another program achievement I’m grateful for is our Give-to-Give Pro Bono Coaching Program organized and led by Terry Warren. This fabulous program provides member coaches with opportunities to coach with our partnering non-profit organization, Day 7. Should you have additional questions, please get in touch with Terry Warren at 615-720-4188 or [email protected].

It's incredible what this Chapter accomplishes as a 100% volunteer membership organization. If you are interested in getting more involved in these or other ICFTN committees, drop me an email at [email protected]. These are just a few reasons I’m grateful as I reflect on 2022.

To show our appreciation, the 2022 Board of Directors is offering a gift to our members; please join us on December 9th at 11:30 am CT / 12:30 PM ET for a Holiday Celebration: Joy RebootRegister here. Free to ICFTN Members and $10 for non-members.

I’m so thankful for the opportunity to serve as ICFTN President. I’ve genuinely enjoyed working with and getting to know you. Thank you for all you do to support our Chapter. I value our relationship and look forward to the opportunity to continue serving you in 2023.

May you have the most wonderful Thanksgiving, full of hope, love, and blessing.

With gratitude,

Brenda Baird
