New Member Spotlight: Rebecca Dorsey

What is the name of your company?
The RE Group LLC
What type of coaching do you do?
I run a leadership development company and I specialize in helping executives transition and build new projects, programs and teams in corporations and in philanthropy. I help them build teams that take initiative, design stand out projects that are both innovative and sustainable, so they have more time and focus for what really matters. As a result, they are more satisfied in the work they do and their people stay.
I also specialize in grant strategy and design within higher education and nonprofits. I help design clear, creative, and compelling projects into concise proposals aligned with funding calls so that projects stand out from the pile and are fully operational from the word go.
What made you decide to be a coach?
I fell into coaching accidentally. While in graduate school at UCLA I took a part time job in a coach training company to pay the bills. Once I learned what coaching was I knew this was how I was wired and what I naturally loved doing. I've used the tool of coaching within internal roles working with research professors at universities, driving strategy within a nonprofit, and running my own leadership development company. I have been coaching since 2010, and earned my MCC in 2022.
Is there anything you would like us to know about you?
I love to be active and run and dance. I'm training for my first half marathon in a decade, and am excited to run my first half marathon in TN in April! I'm also a member of the Forbes Coaches Council and have been having fun publishing on expert panels the last few months.
