Spotlight: Sarah Lundquist

Sarah Lundquist-Galloway1 - Where are you from, and how did you choose to live in Middle Tennessee?

My sense of humor, and sense of pop culture has me joke that I lived in Ft. Worth/Dallas, Texas when everyone was asking who shot JR. The mountains of New York when everyone was watching Baby and Johnny dirty dance, and Florida when Jerry visited his parents in Del Boca Vista. My husband is a Nurse Practitioner, and found an excellent opportunity here.

2 - What is your professional background, and why did you become a coach?

My career started in Entertainment, including performing with The Palm Beach Opera and Emmy winning production of Television News. In 2007 I became a teacher at a Bak Middle School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, a sought after, audition only school where I taught Television Production. I became a Coach while completing my Master’s Degree in Education in 2010.

3 - How did you choose your specialty area?

My specialty areas came from my own personal journey within the Arts, and Physical & Spiritual Health.

4 - What are the greatest challenges and greatest rewards of your career?

Challenges and rewards can come crashing in all at the same time, and those are my best moments in my career. An example would be when I started teaching. I was so scared my first day in a room filled with Middle Schoolers. Breathing through that fear led me to so many years of coaching and educating young hearts through their fears.

5 - What is something that most ICFTN members would be surprised to learn about you?

I am also a competitive Weightlifter. Ranked #1 in my former home state Florida, I will continue my competitive journey here in Tennessee.

6 - How do you enjoy spending your free time?

New to Nashville, my hubby and I like to go for hikes with our two beautiful dogs.
