What made you decide to be a coach?

I became a coach because I wanted to help people, particularly leaders, to identify, cultivate and demonstrate their untapped human potential and to live more enriching lives while also establishing them as authentic drivers of transformational change. Watching people grow, thrive, and drive social change brings me joy!

Is there anything you would like us to know about you?

Sharolyn Payton is the Lead Coach at Payton Place (Established in 2014). Her passion is developing human potential through a social-justice framework. Sharolyn Coach, trainer, and consultant, whose mission is to help leaders to lead more confidently and to live more authentically. She specializes in competency-based human development using Experiential Learning principles, as well as a hybrid of the Socratic teaching model and Ubuntu coaching approach. The ethos and foundation of her practice is centered in Sawubona (isiZulu greeting which means, WE see you, all of you). Sharolyn’s goal is for Payton Place to be a global community presence and resource recognized for developing authentic, well-engaged, highly conscious, and socially responsible leaders.  Payton Place’s client portfolio includes public, private, and nonprofit organizations from Alabama, Arizona, California, Chicago, District of Columbia, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Texas. And, in 2019 we expanded beyond U.S. borders to Europe.
