New Member Spotlight: Stuart Cohen

What is the name of your company?
ADHD As A Skill Set
What type of coaching do you do?
I am a Certified ADHD Life Coach
What made you decide to be a coach?
Being an ADHD Life Coach is my destiny! My ADHD diagnosis happened at 47. The mystery of me was solved! Eight years later I went on a silent retreat to better understand my brain-wiring. It was an introspective, deeply emotional experience that led to an epiphany: I had leveraged only a portion of my ADHD as a skill set. So, I began charting a new course. I learned more about my quirkiness and how I could elevate my success and happiness by embracing my weaknesses and strengths. Coaching kept coming up. When the pandemic hit and my speaking business evaporated, I knew it was my time to go back to school and fulfill what I know now to be much more than a passion. Coaching is my purpose.
Is there anything you would like us to know about you?
I can’t sit still. I have a zest for life! Professionally, I coach and have started a new company, ADHD Travel Retreats. To date, I have completed 64 interviews for my forthcoming book that will be titled ADHD Un Shamed. I speak professionally in the ADHD category as well as travel and hospitality, where I served in leadership roles for 22 years. Most important, though, is the indescribable joy I feel when I am with my three grandchildren! I am so fortunate to have a life partner who is ‘definitely not’ ADHD and totally gets me and loves me – ADHD and all!
