New Member Spotlight: Timothy Grubbs

What is the name of your company?
CedarStone Coaching (US) & Kaizen Consulting (Dubai, UAE)
What type of coaching do you do?
I primarily work with executives and directors, focusing on strategic concerns, successful delegation, managing up, and dealing with imposter syndrome or “phenomenon.” I also provide developmental coaching for employees who are being groomed for managerial roles. Additionally, I conduct group and one-on-one coaching for global companies relocating employees across cultures. My journey as a coach began during the Great Recession, where I helped individuals with career strategy and assisted companies with making the difficult decisions about talent reduction.
What made you decide to be a coach?
I was one of the 400 people laid off during a company downsizing and received assistance from an outplacement consulting firm. They recognized aspects of my personality and professional background that fit well with their staffing needs. They hired me, and I started training to become a coach. Shortly after, I began my ICF journey.
Is there anything you would like us to know about you?
I’m dedicated to my gym-time and enjoy relaxing at my cottage on a small lake between Nashville and Huntsville.
