ICF'S NEW BRAND - A DEFINING LEAP FORWARD

A Special Message from ICF Global:
Our evolution began with a challenge worthy of our legacy: how do we amplify 30 years of gold-standard leadership while creating a brand ready for the next generation of coaching?
To find the answer, we went deep: listening to voices across continents, across industries, and across generations, including Gen Z. What we heard pushed us to think bigger, act bolder, and design a brand built for the world that’s emerging, not the one we’ve already mastered.
This is more than a visual update. It’s a declaration of who we are becoming — rooted in legacy, built for the future, and designed to lead the next era of coaching. Learn more here>>

CREDENTIALING
RENEE FLUTY, DIRECTOR OF CREDENTIALING

Renee Fluty, MBA, PCC
ICFTN Director of Credentialing
As ICFTN’s new Director of Credentialing, I want to introduce myself to our membership. I was so excited when I was invited to fill this position on the Board of Directors. It is a privilege to be part of the leadership of ICFTN.
Credentialing is a passion for me. It is what sets us apart as highly trained professionals who self-regulate and who have met standards of training and practice. Clients who hire a credentialed coach, or a coach working toward credentialing, know what they are getting.
I am here to help members of ICFTN navigate the credentialing journey, whether you are a “newbie” in the beginning of training or a seasoned coach who has decided to pursue your next professional step whether it is the ACC, PCC, or MCC credential. Read more>>

WHY EVERY COACH NEEDS A PERSONAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Hannah Finrow, MCC
ICFTN Director of Marketing
In January 2026, the ICFTN board gathered to map out the year ahead. As we sat together reflecting on where we’ve been and where we’re going, I was reminded of a truth that’s easy to forget when your calendar is full:
We aren’t meant to do this work alone.

Most of us were drawn to coaching because we’re the ones who hold the container for everyone else. We listen, we untangle thoughts and ideas, and we help people find their own way forward. But while we’re busy being the "steady one" for everyone else, many of us are quietly trying to build our businesses and our lives in total isolation.
It’s not usually a conscious choice; it’s just that we’re the ones people come to. Read more>>

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT DISPLACED FEDERAL WORKERS
Executive Coach and ICFTN member Diane Watson shares, “When I learned that thousands of federal employees were being summarily laid off or fired, I wondered what I could do to help.”
A fellow ICFTN member told Diane about The Grounded Idealist. Launched by former federal employees, the Ground Idealist serves displaced federal workers and offers:
-
1:1 and group coaching to support individuals through personal and professional transitions
-
Skill development programs tailored to displaced workers and evolving sectors
-
Communities of practice for peer learning, connection, and collaboration
-
Workshops and events co-created with leading experts
-
Regenerative social ecosystems that build collective resilience while incubating emergent futures
“I coached a former USAID leader,” Diane adds, “and it was one of the most gratifying coaching experiences of my career.”

The organization’s leaders understand that coaches need to receive compensation for their work. With that in mind, they recently started a fundraising campaign. Donations can be made here: https://www.groundedidealist.co/support-our-work
