EVENTS
THE POWER OF BEING IN THE ROOM
Why Professional Development Is More Than a One-Time Event

Pam Reaves, PCC
Director of Events
There’s something powerful about being in the room.
Not just physically—but being present in a space where learning is happening in real time. Where conversations unfold, perspectives are shared, and something shifts… sometimes in ways you didn’t expect.
As coaches, we often invest in professional development through courses, credentials, and structured learning. And while those are essential, growth doesn’t come from information alone.
It comes from engagement. From reflection. From application over time.
That’s where the real power of being “in the room” lives.
