Momentum, Community, and the Future of Coaching

As we move into the summer season, I want to celebrate the incredible momentum our chapter has built this year. Together, we have continued to create a more visible, connected, and thriving coaching community.
Over the past several months, we have offered outstanding programming that has informed, inspired, and equipped our members in meaningful ways. I am especially proud that we have offered new member benefits, maintained strong membership numbers, increased our visibility across our platforms, created new partnerships, and highlighted the success and contributions of many of our members. Celebrating one another strengthens both our chapter and the coaching profession as a whole.

In continued honor and celebration of our 30th Anniversary, on May 22, 11 past presidents of ICF Tennessee gathered at the home of our Founder Emeritus, Pat White, for a special evening of connection and reflection. Through meaningful stories and shared memories, we celebrated the journey of our chapter and the unique role each leader played in shaping its growth and impact over the years.
The evening was a powerful reminder that the strength of our chapter has always been built on visionary leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to the coaching profession. As conversations turned toward the future, there was a shared excitement about how we continue to grow, innovate, and impact the next generation of coaches and leaders.

What is Craft of Coaching?

Our collective success is measured by how deeply we serve, strengthen, and uplift one another.

Celebrating a New Book Release from Dr. Matthew Kodsi
Dr. Matthew Kodsi, ICFTN Director of Membership
We are proud to celebrate ICF Tennessee board member, Dr. Matthew Kodsi, on the release of his new book, A Story Tale: ABCs of the Stories We Tell Ourselves.
Through thoughtful insight and reflection, the book explores the significance of the stories we create in our minds and how those narratives shape our perceptions, decisions, and experiences. Dr. Kodsi invites readers to examine the assumptions we often accept as truth and reconsider the internal stories that influence the way we see ourselves and the world around us.
Congratulations to Dr. Kodsi on this exciting accomplishment and contribution to the ongoing conversation around growth, mindset, and transformation.
His second book, ABCs of Presence, will be released on Amazon Kindle, Paperback, and Audible at the end of June. This will be a series of 5 short books to be released over the coming year.

LOOKING FOR NEW AND MEANINGFUL WAYS TO SERVE OUR MEMBERS—Renew the Navigator program?
What could shift in your coaching practice, business, or leadership journey if you had direct access to an experienced coach for guidance and conversation?
The ICFTN Navigator Program matches a skilled ICFTN coach with a member who is seeking expert advice or conversation around a variety of issues, including: use of AI, business development, team coaching, etc. The program was well-received in the past, and we're looking to revive it to serve our current members.
Please respond to the VERY brief survey below so we can determine the level of interest and potential for recruiting navigators (survey has only 3 questions).

GIVE TO GIVE COACHING
Nonprofit leaders have always faced tough challenges, but today’s environment has made their roles even more demanding. It’s no longer just about fundraising—leaders must now diversify revenue streams, retain talented staff during uncertain times, and have the capacity to effectively manage volunteers. As coaches, we know the value of supporting others through change and growth. Over the years, ICFTN has teamed up with Day 7 to provide nonprofit leaders with pro-bono coaching that truly makes a difference. Click on the Training and Networking button to learn more!
SERVE THOSE WHO SERVED US
The transition from a military career to the private sector is a major shift for most military veterans. It can be especially challenging for those who served in the US Special Operations Forces. The Honor Foundation supports that transition. ICFTN is partnering with the Honor Program to provide pro-bono coaching for those in the upcoming cohort of The Honor Foundation. We hope you will join us in volunteering to serve as a coach. The next cohort starts in August, and they are currently accepting applications for coaches. BOARD OF DIRECTOR POSITIONS FOR 2026
If you are interested in being a leader, now is the time to consider joining our Board of Directors as an elected board member.
Board members are elected for two-year terms (except for the Past Presidents, who may be elected to serve one year after their term).
Each Board role plays a unique part in moving the chapter forward. Below are more specific descriptions of how each Board role contributes to the overall leadership of the chapter.
In addition to the information detailed below, the Directors of Membership, Marketing and Communication, Events, Partnerships, and DEIB, also recruit and lead committees, offering members opportunities to engage, contribute, and grow as leaders.
